Levi's First Birthday

A whole year has come and gone since the arrival of our sweet Levi.  And this old blog has been left in the dust in the last year (along with a few other things, like sleeping, showering regularly, and laundry for two people!)  Here are some highlights from Levi's big day a few weeks ago:

Levi has been coming to work with me every day since I returned to the library after six weeks of maternity leave and has become the local "Library Baby."  We had a little birthday party at the library for the kids in the community.  We had cupcakes, pin-the-tail on the donkey, and a reading of Xander's Panda Party.

New toys to play with at the library! Levi hanging out behind the circulation desk.

After work, Mama, Papa, and Levi visited the county fair.  Of course, it was moto-cross racing night so it was really loud, but we had a good time checking out the animals and spending a small fortune on food.  Levi sampled the funnel cake.  We returned home with emptier wallets and a goldfish (which surprisingly is still alive three weeks later!)

It was a great first birthday! We also celebrated over the weekend with family and friends and had to make a last-minute switch from the backyard farm to the Legion hall due to torrential downpour.  All in all, we had a lot of left-over food and cookies, way too many toys, and a lot of thank-you notes that have yet to be written...

Hope to keep up with this blog a little better...after I get those thank-you notes written!
